Out of all her achievements, Heather is most proud of her current role in nursing education and making an impact on the future of nursing. She also gives back to the community through volunteer work at Metropolitan Ministries and mentoring at a local elementary school.
In her free time, Heather enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.
Considering the future, she hopes to continue growing within her current position and to get even more involved in community work.

Director of Clinical Education at Galen College of Nursing
- Galen College of Nursing was established by Humana Health Institutes, Inc., in 1989 with a single purpose: to offer excellence in nursing education. Humana, who at that time was positioned as one of the largest insurance providers and healthcare systems in the country, developed these practical/vocational nursing programs in response to a severe national nursing shortage.
- Initially offered in Louisville, Kentucky, San Antonio, Texas, and Tampa Bay, Florida, these programs continue to address the healthcare needs of the communities they serve and are examplars of excellence in nursing education. Additional campuses are located in Cincinnati, Ohio and Hazard, Kentucky.
