Jenny Koselak

BSN, ADN, BSAS, MPH

The American Health Council is proud to announce Jenny Koselak, BSN, ADN, BSAS, MPH as one of our ā€œBest in Nursingā€. Ms. Koselak has had her ADN from Santa Fe College for the last thirty years and has put her knowledge to good use during that time. She is currently an International Disaster Response Team Nurse with Samaritan’s Purse and has been in this role for the past ten months. She is currently trying to obtain her Masters in Public Health and obtained her BSN and BSAS with Magna Cum Laude just recently from The University of South Florida in 2016. She is also a member of the Community Emergency Response Team or CERT, which is a dedicated program that focuses on readiness in the face of widespread disaster. Ms. Koselak has expertise in Critical Care Nursing, Disaster Management, and Humanitarian Relief which makes her a valuable individual in the healthcare industry.

When disaster strikes, Ms. Koselak travels to where she is needed most and provides the victims what relief they may need in their time of hardship. She assures the highest quality of care for her patients during the most trying and terrifying times of their lives. It is in this field of nursing where compassion and kindness are essential qualities a nurse is required to have. Ms. Koselak realizes the kind of stress and emotional downfall her patients’ experience, and that is why she must work even harder to try and make their time just a little more bearable.

Ms. Koselak credits her career to the support she has gotten from her friends, family, and co-workers. It is their acceptance of her admirable work that feeds her passion to help others even more. Their support has truly helped her excel her career thus far and it will give her the push she needs to improve herself even more.

For her hard work in Disaster Relief, Ms. Koselak has received many certifications for her excellence in patient care and overall devotion to helping others. She is most proud of the certifications she has received from her education and work in the ICU. She is also proud of her Certification in Global Disaster Assistance Response and in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and in Basic Life Support. She is also proud of having been on the Dean’s list while pursuing her BSN.

When Ms. Koselak has time off from saving the world, she enjoys running and training for her upcoming triathlon.

Ms, Koselak also tries to give back to various charities when she can. She is particularly fond of USF DAHR Student Collaborative, Team Rubicon, Medical Reserve Corp, Volunteer at American Red Cross, and the Manatee County Medical Reserve Corps.

In her future, Ms. Koselak would like to try and combine her skills in public health with her wide set of skills in nursing. She also looks forward to positively impacting more lives with her immaculate nursing skills.
