The American Health Council is proud to welcome Stephanie Head, Nurse Manager at Vidant Medical Center in Snow Hill, North Carolina, to its Nursing Board. With over 25 years in the healthcare industry, including nearly five years in her current role, Ms. Head brings to the AHC expertise in Pain Management and Nursing.
Graduating in 1991 with a BSN from East Carolina University, Ms. Head became involved in her present career as she is passionate about helping those in need. Her sister was ill when she was younger, and being in a hospital atmosphere made her realize her desire and potential in healthcare.
At Vidant Medical Center, Ms. Head engages in day-to-day responsibilities, including being a Nurse Manager in the Pain Management Department. She is responsible for the overall operation of the clinic including financial responsibility.
Ms. Head cites completing her MSN, in May 2018, as among her professional accomplishments. She is professionally associated with the American Society of Pain Management Nurses and charitably associated with Rainbow United Methodist Church.
Over the next 5 years, Ms. Head plans to continue working at Vidant Medical Center, continuing her growth as a nurse, whether it be educationally or concerning the new trends within the field. In her spare time, Ms. Head enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors and at the beach.
